Each year, our Association attributes awards to the best master theses.
This year, it was not possible to give them in person, but it did not stop us !

The 2020 AIM best thesis award winner is Benjamin Laugraud for his PHD thesis titled « Motion-aware temporal median filtering for robust background estimation ».
It is the 6th edition of this award of 3500 euros created in 2014.
Due to the Covid-19 crisis, we weren’t able to organise a live presentation.

Welcome to our 2 new administrative board members: Quentin Gemine and Jérémie Delhaxhe
Our new administrative board is in place since 1 September 2020.
The AIM best thesis award was given to Lampros Papangelis for his PHD thesis titled « Local and centralized control of multi-terminal DC grids for secure operation of combined AC/DC systems ».
He received his prize on 8 November 2019.

AIM is organising its Alumni Evening on November 8, 2019.

AIM is organising the next international conference on electricity distribution (CIRED 2019).
This event is the major European conference in this domain. It will gather more than 1500 participants in Madrid in June 2019.
The 2018 winner of AIM Award for the best PHD thesis is Stéphanie Van Loo.
Her PHD thesis is titled « Droplet Microfluidics for single-cell manipulation ».
She received her award on 23 November 2018.
